In the seven-game playoff finals the team swept Anwil Włocławek, something which happened only for the second time in the league's history. In game 4 played yesterday, Prokom Gdynia narrowly won 79 to 80 with a block by Adam Łapeta on Krzysztof Szubarga's shot and lifted the trophy. This was also the second time the champion did not lose a single game during playoffs. The Atlanta Hawks' guard came off the bench in the 79 games he played this season, succeeding Jason Terry, who was second in the voting, while Anderson Varejão was third. Crawford was second in the team with 18 points per game, also the second highest average in the last 40 years for a player who did not start a single game. The 30-year-old added averages of 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and one steal per game, while standing seventh in the NBA in three-point shots made (163).

Siena stormed into the new season and continued their dominance in Italian basketball. The reigning league champions and Cup holders once again beat Virtus Bologna (Cup runner-up), this time by 82-64 to claim their fourth consecutive Super Cup trophy.
