Tyreke Evans was named the best rookie player of the 2009-2010 NBA season in a choice made by sports writers and commentators. The 20-year-old also joined the restricted group formed by Michael Jordan, LeBron James and Oscar Robertson, who has at least 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists on average in their rookie seasons. Evans had season-highs of 34 points, 11 rebounds (on four occasions) and 13 assists (two times).

News: Casspi moves to the NBA (Notícia: Casspi ruma à NBA)

The first Israeli ever to be selected in the first round of the NBA draft is ready to make the leap and move overseas. Omri Casspi signed a three-year deal with the Sacramento Kings, the team that drafted him, and is expected to earn around 2 million euros.
The 21-year-old forward grew up in Hapoel Holon and later played for Hapoel Galil Elyon and Maccabi Tel Aviv, with which he averaged 8.8 points and 3.1 rebounds this season in the Euroleague.

News: Divac's 21 retired (Notícia: Retirado número 21 de Divac)

The legendary centre Vlade Divac had his Sacramento Kings no. 21 jersey retired last night. In a ceremony that took place at halftime in the game opposing the Kings and the New Orleans Hornets, Divac saw the jersey he wore for six seasons (between 1998 and 2004) be retired, in recognition of his services to the team. According to the Serbian, those were his best years in basketball, as the team delighted everyone with its game and reached the 2002 Western Conference finals.
Divac is the Kings all-time second in rebounds, having missed just six games while playing with the team. The 41-year-old is now the president of the Serbian Olympic Committee and continues to lead various humanitarian campaigns.
