The Los Angeles Lakers lost one game of the NBA playoff finals, but won another four. In the fifth and last game of the season, Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and the rest beat the Orlando Magic 99 to 86, claiming the club's 15th championship. The first one for the Spaniard and the fourth for the American, both being the title architects. Phil Jackson became the NBA coach with most titles (10), passing legendary Red Auerbach.

Last night in the third game of the second round of the playoffs the Los Angeles Lakers won and Kobe Bryant made history. The guard scored 33 points and passed legenday Larry Bird for the six place in all-time playoff scoring, having now a total of 3.928 points (two more than the former Celtic). The 30-year-old also added 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks, as the Lakers beat the Houston Rockets 108-94 and lead 2-1 in the series.
The playoff scoring list is led by Michael Jordan with 5.987 points.
