Euroleague's topscorer this season was Igor Rakočević and the Alphonso Ford Topscorer Award was handed to the Serbian for the second time in his career. The TAU guard averaged 18 points over 20 games, the best mark in the last three seasons, and was the first player to register an average of 20 points in the regular season first stage. Moreover, the Serbian international also set a new record on consecutive free throws made with a total of 58.
Siena's Terrell McIntyre was the second with most point average this season (17.3), followed by David Logan from Prokom Sopot with 16.9 points per game.

Igor Rakočević has been delighting everyone this season with his performances and the NBA has been noticing them. The Serbian could return to the NBA next season as it's said a franchise (presumably from the Eastern Conference) is willing to pay him 12 million dollars for three years. Rakočević himself already admitted that there are strong chances for a return, especially because the offer will be difficult to match by European teams. The 30-year-old guard played for the Minnesota Timberwolves six years ago, but went unnoticed with just 2 points as average in 42 games.
Currently playing for TAU and recently crowned Copa del Rey champion, the Serbian international leads in scoring both in Spanish ACB (nearly 21 ppg) and the Euroleague (20 ppg) and has been named Euroleague MVP for the month of January.
