Marc Gasol's successor as ACB's most valuable player is already known: Felipe Reyes. The Real Madrid centre was the top vote-getter in a selection made by the press, coaches and players. The 29-year-old had the best average efficiency index (22.7) this season, being the second best rebounder in the league and the seventh scorer with 16.3 points and 9.4 rebounds per game. Moreover, he passed the historical number of 2.500 rebounds this season and was named Player of the Month in October and Player of the Round in four occasions.The Spain international was followed in the vote by Igor Rakočević (TAU), Thiago Splitter (TAU) and Frán Vázquez (Barcelona), who tied for third place.

O jogador de 29 anos teve a melhor média de índice de eficácia da temporada (22,7), sendo segundo em total de ressaltos na liga e sétimo em pontuação, com 16,3 pontos e 9,4 ressaltos por jogo. Para além disso, ultrapassou também a marca histórica de 2,500 ressaltos e foi designado Jogador do Mês em Outubro e Jogador da Jornada em quatro ocasiões.
O internacional espanhol foi seguido na votação por Igor Rakočević (TAU), Thiago Splitter (TAU) e Frán Vázquez (Barcelona), que ficaram "ex aequo" na terceira posição.)

As a Rakoćević fan, I was hoping he'd win the MVP. I guess Reyes deserves it, though. He had a great year.
