In 63 games coming as a reserve in the regular season, Terry averaged 19.6 points, 3.4 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 74 games, being 10th in the NBA list of three-pointers made (167), 11th in free throw percentage (88%), 17th in steals, and 22nd in average scoring.
The 31-year-old also made history by having the highest point average of the last 18 awardees, besides registering at least 20 points in 33 games off the bench.
The second place of the voting was for the Denver Nuggets' J.R. Smith and Nate Robinson (New York Knicks) was third.
