The Žalgiris Kaunas captain Paulius Jankūnas is being targeted by Israel giants Maccabi Tel Aviv. The 25-year-old forward, who was recently named the Baltic Basketball League MVP, had his best season ever this year with the green jersey, averaging 15.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.2 steals in the LKL.Jankūnas' contract with the Lithuanian team will end by the end of this season, and his agent confirmed Maccabi Tel Aviv will be able to correspond the salary needs of the player. Other offers have also been reported, namely from Russian teams, although the proposals were not satisfying.
