Following three years at the helm of Fenerbahçe, coach Bogdan Tanjević is about to leave the team. The board of the club and the coach are negociating the compensation to be paid which could be of approximately 1.5 million euros.The recent criticism towards the 62-year-old Bosnian's work with the team and three consecutive losses in the Turkish league sealed the fate of the current Turkey national team coach. One of those defeats was against archrivals Efes Pilsen away by 13 points and the latest one shocked fans as they were beaten at home by 12 points by Pınar Karşıyaka. A title contender, Fenerbahçe is currently sixth in the TBL table with three wins and three losses. In the Euroleague things are also 50-50 with narrow wins.
Currently jobless Oktay Mahmuti is rumoured to be the name wanted by the club to occupy the vacant post.

As críticas recentes ao trabalho do bósnio, de 62 anos, bem como três derrotas consecutivas na liga turca, traçaram o destino do actual seleccionador da Turquia. Uma dessas derrotas foi contra o rival Efes Pilsen, fora, por 13 pontos de diferença e a mais recente chocou os adeptos, pelo facto de ter ocorrido em casa, por 12 pontos, frente ao Pınar Karşıyaka. Um dos candidatos ao título, o Fenerbahçe ocupa actualmente a sexta posição na tabela da TBL, com três vitórias e outras tantas derrotas. Na Euroliga, a situação é também de 50-50, com vitórias obtidas com dificuldade.
Oktay Mahmuti, que se encontra sem clube, é apontado como o nome pretendido pelo clube para ocupar o lugar vago.)
