The Finland national team coach Henrik Dettmann announced the preliminary roster that will play some friendlies in order to prepare Eurobasket's additional qualifying tournament. The German coach will no longer count on Hanno Möttölä, the leader of the team for many years, who decided to retire from basketball when the first qualification round was played. In that round Finland finished fifth and managed to beat the mighty Serbia, facing now Italy and France for a spot in Eurobasket in September.(O seleccionador da Finlândia, Henrik Dettmann, anunciou a selecção provisória que disputará alguns amigáveis de preparação para o torneio de qualificação adicional do Eurobasket.
