Slovenian Saša Vujačić declared ready to play for the national team and help achieve the gold medal goal in this year's Eurobasket. Despite being one of the country's best players, the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers guard never played for the senior Slovenian national team in official games because of misunderstandings with the country's federation. Visited by representatives of the federation in the USA, Vujačić said to be "extremely enthusiastic" about the upcoming national team project led by Jure Zdovc.
