Following weeks of rumours, trades literally waiting to happen and nervousness in Cleveland, LeBron James finally made up his mind and will join the Miami Heat for the next four seasons. The back-to-back NBA MVP leaves the Cavaliers to team up with the longtime serving guard Dwayne Wade and newly acquired power forward Chris Bosh in the Heat. The possibility of forming a strong, championship contending triumvirate was the main reason for the forward's decision, leaving behind seven years with the team that brought him to the NBA.
Last season the 25-year-old helped the Cavs finish the regular season with the best record (61 wins and 21 losses), but failed to go further into the playoffs by losing to the Boston Celtics in the second round.
James averaged a league second best 29.7 points per game, while adding 8.6 assists, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1 block during last season.
