After the departure of centre Tiago Splitter to the San Antonio Spurs, Caja Laboral Baskonia is trying to find a new player to fill in the position. The Spanish team now turns to Utah Jazz's Kyrylo Fesenko, although the interest in the Ukranian goes back to April and previous seasons. The Salt Lake City team is currently negociating a re-signing with the 23-year-old, who did not give an answer yet to their first offer which will supposedly improve the salary of his previous contract.
Fesenko started his professional career back in his home country with Azovmash Mariupol, later moving to Cherkaski Mavpy. In his three-year career in the NBA he averaged 2.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game, while slightly improving in the first round of the playoffs last season thanks to starting centre Mehmet Okur's injury.
Last year Fesenko was linked with a move to Partizan, but he himself slammed the rumours.
