After being released by Real Madrid just some days ago, Darjuš Lavrinovič immediately attracted the interest of many European powerhouses and Fenerbahçe seem to have suited him just fine. The Lithuanian centre agreed to play for the reigning Turkish champions next season and will be officially presented in the next few days.The 30-year-old Lithuania national team player had averaged of 11.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1 steal in 20 Euroleague games for the Spanish team. Previously he played for Dynamo Moscow, UNICS Kazan, Žalgiris and Alytus Alita, where he started his professional career.
