News: Ivković officially at the helm of Olympiacos

Never forget those who took you to glory. That seems to be the motto of Olympiacos with the signing of Dušan Ivković. At 66, the Serbian head coach returns to the Greek giants, to which he handed their first and only Euroleague title back in 1997, the year the team made the triplet. Following the dismissal of Panagiotis Giannakis, the current Greek league runner-up secured the services of the Serbia national team coach for the next two seasons. This will also mean Ivković's return to the Euroleague, in which he last took part in 2007 while at Dynamo Moscow.
With a long list of domestic, European and international titles, Ivković is the only coach to have won the four major continental competitions (Euroleague, modern day Eurocup and the defunct Saporta Cup and Korać Cup), besides handing three European titles and one World Championship to Yugoslavia. Last year he guided Serbia to a silver medal in Eurobasket and will most likely step down after this year's World Championship.
