CSKA Moscow made sure there were no doubts about which is the strongest team in Russian Superleague. The Reds conquered the title for the eighth time in a row, sweeping the series 3-0 against Khimki and although they missed forward Viktor Khryapa (pictured) in the third game played yesterday, they still convincingly beat the runner-up 60-76. CSKA already led by 13 at halftime and lost only in the third period by one point (19-18).

Os "vermelhos" conquistaram o título pelo oitavo ano consecutivo, não permitindo qualquer vitória ao Khimki na série (3-0). Embora sem o extremo Viktor Khryapa (na foto) no terceiro jogo disputado ontem, os campeões venceram de forma convincente por 60-76. O CSKA comandava já o marcador por 13 pontos de diferença ao intervalo, perdendo apenas o terceiro período por um ponto (19-18).
Ramūnas Šiškauskas foi o melhor marcador do encontro com 29 pontos, capturando oito ressaltos para o CSKA, enquanto que Trajan Langdon acrescentou 13 pontos e Nikita Kurbanov menos dois. Do lado do Khimki, Keith Langford encestou 18 pontos e Raül López obteve 10 e cinco assistências.
