For the third time in the club's history, Bamberg claimed the German BBL title. Succeeding Oldenburg, the champions edged Frankfurt Skyliners 72-70 in decisive game 5 of the playoff finals. Frankfurt led 32-27 at halftime.Anton Gavel paced the winners with 16 points, followed by John Goldsberry (five rebounds) with less one and Tibor Pleiß (12 rebounds) and Predrag Šuput with 10 apiece. For the runner-up the Pascal Roller netted 20 points, grabbed five boards and dished five assists, while Seth Doliboa added a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds and Aubrey Reese 13 points.
