Kristjan Kangur will exchange the club of his heart Kalev for French side Villeurbanne. The Estonian forward will move abroad for the second time in his career (had been in Germany with Leverkusen between 2004 and 2006) and will stay with the Pro A team for one season. The 26-year-old will, therefore, play next season in the Euroleague for the first time and try a more competitive national championship.In the Baltic Basketball League this season the Estonia international averaged 10.2 points and a team-best 7.1 rebounds in 21 games and helped Kalev achieve the Estonian title.
Villeurbanne will be in group A of Euroleague next season along with Barcelona, Siena, Cibona, Fenerbahçe and Žalgiris.

O extremo estónio jogará no estrangeiro pela segunda vez na carreira (esteve na Alemanha com o Leverkusen entre 2004 e 2006) e ficará ao serviço do clube da Pro A por uma época. O jogador de 26 anos disputará, assim, a Euroliga pela primeira vez, bem como um campeonato nacional mais competitivo.
Esta época na Liga de Basquetebol do Báltico, o internacional estónio obteve médias de 10,2 pontos e 7,1 ressaltos (o melhor da equipa) em 21 jogos, ajudando o Kalev a conquistar o título estónio.
