Partizan's coach Duško Vujošević was named the best Euroleague coach of 2009 and won, therefore, the Alexander Gomelskiy Coach of the Year Trophy. The 50-year-old Montenegrin, who has been with Partizan since 2002 for the second time, led the Belgrade team for the second consecutive year to the competition's playoff quarter-finals, again with a team composed mostly by youngsters.Currently the coach of the Montenegro national team, Vujošević's work had such dimension that he became the first to get the trophy without winning the Euroleague title.
(O treinador do Partizan, Duško Vujošević, foi eleito melhor treinador de 2009 da Euroliga, vencendo, assim, o Troféu Alexander Gomelskiy de Treinador do Ano. O montenegrino de 50 anos, que se encontra na sua segunda etapa no Partizan, desde 2002, levou a equipa de Belgrado pela segunda vez consecutiva aos quartos-de-final dos "playoffs", novamente com uma equipa composta essencialmente por jovens.
