The new president of Real Madrid Florentino Pérez has in Ettore Messina the main candidate for the team's bench. The still CSKA Moscow coach is rumoured to be on the verge of accepting a two-year offer, while asking also the signing of countryman Maurizio Gherardini (currently working the NBA for the Toronto Raptors staff). The Italian coach will be in Madrid by the end of ACB playoff finals to further discuss the contract and work conditions, particularly the possibility of deciding pratically anything within the team.
