In an interview to heinnews, Germany national team coach Dirk Bauermann showed hopeful that Dirk Nowitzki might join the team this summer. The Dallas Mavericks forward still didn't make up his mind about participating in Eurobasket this year after playing in the Beijing Olympics, but Bauermann revealed he'll be in the US this month to try to convince the 31-year-old to join Germany. The headcoach, who has been at the helm of the national team since 2005, is very optimistic regarding the issue, stating also that in a recent conversation centre Chris Kaman showed interest in representing Germany again.
Dirk Nowitzki has played with the national team in every summer since 1999, winning a silver medal at the World Championship in 2002 and a bronze one at Eurobasket three years later.
