Biguá did it again, claiming the Uruguayan championship for the second time in a row. The now back-to-back champions defeated Defensor Sporting on Tuesday 108-99 and complete a 3-0 sweep in the playoff finals. The champions had won the previous games by 85-72 and 96-94.
The best scorer for the winners was Uruguayan international Leandro García Morales with 27 points, who would be named the finals MVP, while Argentinian Rubén Wolkowyski added 24. Martín Osimani took the job of dishing some points and ended up with 13 assists to go along with 15 points. For Defensor the best players were Brian Woodward with a game-high 34 and Chris Jackson with 21 and 12 boards.
With this victory Biguá became the first club in Uruguay to win two consecutive champion titles and proved their strong season, after having grabbed the Americas League third place.

O melhor marcador do Biguá foi o internacional uruguaio Leandro García Morales com 27 pontos, tendo sido designado MVP das finais, enquanto que o argentino Rubén Wolkowyski acrescentou 24. Martín Osimani tomou a si a tarefa de distribuir pontos e terminou com 13 assistências, às que adicionou 15 pontos. Para o lado do Defensor, os melhores jogadores foram Brian Woodward com 34 pontos (a máxima pontuação individual do jogo) e Chris Jackson com 21 e 12 ressaltos.
Com esta vitória, o Biguá tornou-se o primeiro clube no Uruguai a conquistar dois títulos consecutivos e provou a forte época realizada, após ter alcançado o terceiro lugar na Liga das Américas.
