NBA coach Larry Brown is the lastest name to come up for the France national team job. After big name Ettore Messina declined the post, world champion Pepu Hernández preferred a club level work and the name of French Vincent Collet came up, among others, Larry Brown is reportedly the new target of the French federation, which may have already contacted the legendary coach. The choice is to be revealed on 4th March and so the federation's president refused to comment to the issue, although French forward Boris Diaw, currently playing for the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats coached by Brown, could be an important link in the hiring.
Larry Brown's curriculum includes a bronze medal for the USA in the 2004 Olympics, an NBA championship with the Detroit Pistons that same year and an NCAA title.
