It happened at 10.000, 20.000 and it happened again at 25.000. Last night Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant became the youngest player ever in the NBA to score that amount of points. Scoring steadily and hitting milestones throughout his career, the 31-year-old set the new record by converting a free throw by the end of the first half of the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bryant finished the game with a team-high 31 points in the 87-93 loss.
The previous record holder, legendary Wilt Chamberlain (the fourth all-time best scorer in the league), was 35 days older when he hit the mark.
In a 14-year career, Bryant has been averaging 25.3 points per game, to go along with 5.3 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.5 steals. He is also the youngest ever to make the All-Star Game back in 1998.
