Less than five months after being hired as the new man at the helm of Spartak St. Petersburg, Aleksandar Trifunović left the club. The Serbian coach will not fulfill the initial one-year deal by renouncing the post due to lack of communication between the two parts. According to Trifunović it has been agreed he could make changes in the roster, something later turned down due to budget constraints, although a player was signed without his agreement.
