News: Mačvan finally moves to Maccabi

Following months of speculation in media, one of the most promising European players finally found himself a new team.
Serbian power forward Milan Mačvan will move to Israel and Euroleague giants Maccabi Tel Aviv for the next four seasons. The deal was settled with his former team Hemofarm Vršac, which will receive between 400 and 600 thousand euros as compensation. Other teams reported to be interested in the rising star included Caja Laboral Baskonia and Fenerbahçe.
Picked as the Eurocup young player of the year in 2009, the 21-year-old Serbia national team player is having a breakout season, leading his now former team with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3.8 assists a game in the Eurocup and 19.5, 7.1 and 2.7 in the NBL Adriatic League.
