The man behind Turkey's silver medal at the World Championship this year is coming back for yet another challenge. Bosnian Bogdan Tanjević, who recently battled against cancer, revealed if he's well his desire is to lead Turkey at Eurobasket next year in Lithuania and try to reach the top four places in order to qualify for the London Olympics.
The 63-year-old has the support of the Turkish federation and also added he counts on all players, especially Hedo Türkoğlu, whose long season in the NBA will determine if he's physically fit to join the national team.
In a coaching career which started in 1978 with Bosna Sarajevo, Tanjević led other national teams, namely Yugoslavia and Italy and is on the bench of Turkey since 2004. At club level he was recently at the helm of Fenerbahçe, conquering the Turkish title.
